Hay, so yet again I have news on the van. I have installed remote key entry to the doors. I got the set from amazon and decided to try and tackle it myself. It went pretty smoothly all in all. For any T4 owners out there the window winders DONT have a clip, just slide the back of it up and it will release. Don't spend a good half hour and 12 youtube videos looking for the release clip in the back as it doesn't have one 😅.
So once I managed to get that sorted I discovered the starter motor may be on its way out but for now its still running fine.

Here's me stealing power from the 12V permanent live in the back of the cigarette lighter. Yes I did use a clothes peg taped to a stick to pull the wires up through the cabin so what 😅
Overall a successful job. Ive also removed the support beams in between the two bench seats. Ive drilled a hole through the bench and into the end of each beam so I can use tent pegs to hold them in place when in use. Ive also cut the large boards in half and added hinges so they can fold up nicely in the bench itself. Creating loads of room in the back.
Please excuse the very rusty saw. Whilst Alex is a joiner, he was at work so I didn't want to steal his stuff 😅
Ive still goto sand the horrible blue and white paint in the back and straighten some of their cuts they've done in a few places. Then I'll be adding my own touch to the interior 😊
I also got my first big test of long distance driving over Halloween me and tee finally took our first big trip (meant to be on our anniversary) and drive up to Scotland. Unfortunately I used the car instead as I didn't want to risk the starter motor on such a long drive.
It was a great trip aside I got a really bad flu/viral infection on the first day and had to call my team that said I'll need to goto A&E if it gets any worse. Thankfully it didn't but due to that and a storm we didn't get much explanation done. Nova still got her walks in and we did have a truly beautiful drive on the Galloway tourist route to Ayr. It was magical everything was gold from the sun starting to set in the whole hour and half we was on there there wasn't a straight bit of road. The drive back on the duel carriage ways in the pitched black...not so fun. In the first 20 minutes we passed a wrecked car in a ditch that didn't slow in time. Thankfully I literally just followed a large lorry to just outside dumfries. People can't get mad at me for doing 40 if thats the max speed the lorry in front can do 😅

Dumfries

Screenshot I got of the road so I can find it again next time 😅

Nova enjoying the dog friendly pub

Yes it was raining 😅
Right so thats it for now. Taking Vera (the van) to Manchester today to see the comedian Daniel Sloss with my friend Becca so hopefully no unforeseen issues on the motorway 😅 fingers crossed
