Well, its coming up to my blogs first anniversary, its hard to believe a full year has gone by since I was given the suggestion to write a blog. It started out very different, first it wasn't about Cystic fibrosis at all, it was a series of letters to myself about my thought's and feelings duringa dark period in my life. Getting them down on "paper" rather than tirelessly circling my brain was a massive help.
As for the letters I'm currently writing possibly my final one. Letter No.12. Titled A Letter to Sweetest November. They all included a song title featuring the month it was written.
Still, before I do I will have a read back through them all.12 poorly written letters from a very broken man slowly finding himself again.
Thinking about it if you asked me what I imagined these last 12 months would have looked like back then I would have said something completely different, especially because if covid wasn't a thing there was a strong chance I would have been nearing a year as IT maintenence manager in Belfast. Heck this could have been a blog about me coming back to hull to visit family haha.
That being said Im incredibly grateful for everything that happened good or bad. Those memories from 2020 still deserve a little corner shelf in my heart, as it made me who I am. As heartbreaking it was ending I learned a lot about myself and it inspired me to pursue my dreams and hopefully find the love I deserve.
I have saved up 10k for my campervan and hopefully as of march I will have my full licence too. Unfortunately my first attempt at my driving test didn't go too smoothy. Again if covid wasn't a thing I would have had my licence last year rather than having countless postponed theory tests and the practical test in a small town I'd only been in for 20 minutes before doing a test on unfamiliar roads....whilst being blind I might add 😅
I'm really looking forward to what 2020 has in store it seems my goal to travel to Italy with a woman I love whilst singing songs in the sun, the mountains in the windows and havinga world of adventures. Who knows might spend a few nights in Paris too on the way there and stop my Germany on the way back.
In the meantime look out for me around the UK. Ive had a few invites to visit people from Cornwall, to Edinburgh, York, Ireland and Belfast although may skip that last one and just goto Derry instead...sorry...London Derry.
Love you all.
Ryan
