Our own Endgame
I've been to rewatch Marvels Avengers: Endgame. It hit me in the beautifully tragic end of Iron Man, the sacrificehe made and the way it left the world better. Yet with the new film coming out soon, it makes you think: what was the point? Does his death still carry the same impact or sentiment?
What did it mean? I see it a lot like our lives. I have friends and loved ones that have been going through a lot. Im really honoured sp many of my friends come to be for someone to listen, or that they feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings when I see they're down. It makes you think whats the point in carrying on when nothing seems to get better. Always 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Or our peace is never permanent. I don't have a good answer. But I think the closest I can get it that we simply, keep the story going.
We fight the present situation, and we may lose people like Iron Man or part of ourselves, sacrifices. People we feel we need. People who genuinely can't be replaced. Gone or changed. Our world is never the same again.
But (as I say) the story keeps going.
There's always going to be a new foe, an unwinnable situation, another sacrifice to make for what might be a small victory.
But we can't see that as pointless. We can't give up on the story because, like movies (good or bad), stories have to be told. It's up to us to give ourselves a happy ending. Even if that means resting, forgiving ourselves or others, or learning to live in our new world, to find peace, or even the more cliché happy ending of achieving our goals and dreams.
I've written before about sacrifice, whether it's my button for my feed, losing family, or friends who have passed away. But when I look at my own movie, I have no idea what the next fight will be. After everything I've given up, I know that I, like everyone else, have to face it and not give up on the chance of a happy ending.
Even if that means making another sacrifice to get there.
I have spent a bit of time working on my spelling and grammar so I hope this marks a good improvement. Thanks for reading everyone x
